I'm Jihane, founder of ZoujUp. This program uses the same format as our Darija program: 4 or 8 weeks of one-to-one French with Khadija, PhD in French language teaching, and the app to test what you can really say with native French speakers.
Many people studied French at school for years. They read it, they understand it — and they freeze as soon as they have to speak. This program exists for that: you speak from the first week, with a teacher who knows exactly where an adult gets stuck.
Khadija has taught French to non-native speakers for more than twenty years and trains teachers at the CRMEF, the center that prepares Morocco's teachers. One hour a week one-to-one, and she stays available between classes on WhatsApp. You move at your pace, not a classroom's.
After the classes, you need to keep practicing to make what you've learned stick. That is why I created ZoujUp: the app matches you with native French speakers who, in turn, want to learn English. This program brings the two together: a teacher to learn from, ZoujUp to practice with native speakers.
One hour of class a week, live on video. She moves at your pace, not a classroom's.
Between classes, your teacher stays available on WhatsApp all week: she corrects your exercises and talks with you. She commits to replying within the day.
When your teacher gives you the green light, you start your first conversation with a native French speaker on the ZoujUp app. It's a 20-minute conversation with someone who wants to learn English: 10 minutes in French, 10 in English. You hear right away what works and what doesn't.
ZoujUp matches you with a native French speaker for a 20-minute session. It's an exchange: you help them with English, they help you with French.
Khadija stays with you from the first day to the last: she teaches you, listens to you and corrects you.
A native Moroccan. She teaches the teachers: she is a trainer at the CRMEF, the center that prepares Morocco's teachers. Her specialty: teaching French to non-native speakers. She teaches both French and Darija.
“I have been teaching and training students and teachers for more than twenty years. I know where an adult gets stuck when learning a language, and how to help them move forward. With me, every class has a clear goal.”
Khadija, ZoujUp teacher
The pack names are in Darija, ZoujUp's home language: Bidaya means “the beginning”, Hadra “the conversation”.
Hold your first simple exchanges.
Go from sentences to real conversations.
You pay nothing before you've spoken to her. You book a call, and she answers all your questions before you begin.
Yes. Both packs are designed for people starting from zero, or with school basics they never dare to use. The Bidaya Pack begins with your very first spoken sentences.
That is our commitment. If you attend your classes and do your exercises, by the end of your pack you speak: you build your first sentences in French and say them out loud.
It doesn't stop at the last class. One or two months with a teacher give you your first sentences. To keep them, you have to keep using them. That is why the program brings both together: a teacher to learn from, and the ZoujUp app, during your pack and after it, to practice what she taught you with native French speakers.
No. You start with your teacher, who prepares you. She is the one who gives you the green light for your first session. Until then, you practice with her on WhatsApp.
Khadija. With a PhD in French language teaching, she has taught French to non-native speakers and trained teachers for more than twenty years. You speak with her from the first call, before paying, and you keep the same teacher from the first day to the last.
No. The goal is for you to speak French by the end of your pack, not to keep up with a class. Every class is one-to-one: your teacher starts from your level, moves at your pace and works on what is holding you back.
Yes: one hour a week on video, live, with your teacher. The rest of the week, she follows you on WhatsApp: she knows what you need to work on, corrects your exercises and keeps you moving until the next class.
To test what you're learning. ZoujUp matches you with a native French speaker who wants to learn English. Each session lasts 20 minutes: 10 in French, 10 in English. You see for yourself what you can actually say.
Yes. It is in beta until the end of October 2026, and you get access with your pack. It is due to open to everyone on the App Store and Play Store in November.
As with any language, what you've learned sticks through practice. You keep going on ZoujUp with native speakers, at your own pace. Access is included during your pack. After that, the app is subscription-based: the price will be announced at the public launch in November.
The program is intensive: it is open to learners aged 16 and over.
